real imaginary friends
Mental health characters to help children understand their feelings.
the story.
FriendTales is about a group of friends. Each individual friend struggles with a different mental health problem.
The characters will each have a different, internal mental health problem like depression, anxiety, or self-esteem. As you learn about the characters in the stories, the child will hopefully improve their mindset with the positive message and learn how to overcome or deal with their troubles.
Disclaimer: The stories are not to give a solution to any child’s mental problem or replace professional council. The stories are to support and encourage the child with tools to help cope with their issues.
On-going comic series
We aren’t just stopping with these 6 stories. The Characters will grow up with the kids. They are learning and experiencing problems together.
As we grow our team, we will be putting our regular stories so the kids can follow along and learn from the character’s experiences.
We will also be branching out into new characters who experience other conditions. The whole of the characters is limitless.
We are excited that you are here to experience them with us.
anonymous conversations
to talk it out
the bot.
In addition to the stories for children to read, we will also pair each book with a chatbot of the main character.
Children may be more timid talking to real people, but in this modern age they are comfortable talking to digital beings like Alexa and Siri. This allows them to chat with a bot without a filter. This true expression of feelings to an anonymous bot. Giving each child a better understanding of their own feelings and hopefully, the child may catch early signs of an unbalance in their mental health and take action through preventative ways to understand themselves better.
Disclaimer: the chatbot characters will not act as psychiatrists, but as friends and companions for the children to relate to during those difficult times.
